TLV1391: Pin 1 identifier line vs dot

Hello,

Can you verify that the Line on the part, is marking the pin 1 location? the datasheet doesn't mention this as part of the physical drawing.

is there a FAQ page I might be missing or PCN on the variations that the pin 1 identifier might appear as?

Found a similar TI post, that state :

There might be a dot, or a line between pins 1 and 8, or a bevel along the pin 1/2/3/4 edge. But in any case, the marking is near pin 1.

Agreed. Thank you, Clemens. Where did you get that snapshot that from? That may come in handy...

For 5-pin SOT's, the "three pins" side is the pin 1 side, with pin 1 at the top left (looking vertically) or bottom left (looking horizontally). 6-pins SOT's rely on either a bevel or the text alignment. As the graphic depicts, reading the top marking left-to-right, pin 1 is in the lower left.

There are a few PCN's about the current changes in the marking on multiple products.

Starting in 2022, to save laser marking time, the newer packages will just have a pin 1 dot instead of the bar, the TI logo will change to just "TI", the font will change to a more OCR friendly font, and the "G4" mark may be removed. These changes have triggered "is this a genuine TI part?" questions..so beware.
