LM2904: Changes in slew rate characteristics with the addition of new fab site

Hi,

The slew rate was 0.3V/us before LM2904DR is changed. Then, the slew rate became 0.5V/us when changing to a new LM2904DR with the same board.
If the die revision is changed from E, F, H to new B, will the slew rate be 0.5V/us like LM2904B?

Kato-san,

The short answer is yes. Slew rate is a typical specification without minimum and maximum limits. Expect more slew rate variability as supply changes from pre PCN to post PCN product. Using LM2904B is recommended.

I would like to confirm just in case, is my understanding correct that the slew rate will vary as well if other post PCN products are used including LM2904DR-JF?

Kato-san,

LM2904DR-JF is the second oldest in your "E,F,H, B" list. All except newest use 0.3V/us as a target. 0.3V/us is slow and the double LM2904 is the quad op amp LM2902; LM2902 is 0.5V/us so it makes sense to align these two part numbers to 0.5V/us. LM2904DR-JF is part of the PCN so it will be updated.

If yes, will PCN be provided for slew rate changes?

Kato-san,

Perhaps, but at a future date. 0.5V/us is within the normal variance range of a 0.3V/us device.
