Op-amp calculator using MATHCAD

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ANALOG-ENGINEER-CALC, TINA-TI

Hi Experts,

Good day.

Our customer wants to have a calculator for Op-amp on designing. The application is LNA (low noise amplifier)/ Audio application.
They want to use MATHCAD is that feasible? As I have checked that MATHCAD is for Battery.

If not, Can they use the  ANALOG-ENGINEER-CALC instead?
Is the ANALOG-ENGINEER-CALC consider the following parameters below?

Parameters while designing:

Keep safe.

Josel

  • Hi Josel,

Unfortunately we don't have a Mathcad worksheet for amplifiers available for distribution.  I suspect that your customer wants a theoretical analysis of a LNA in Mathcad; you can find most of the information needed to build a Mathcad file from the TI Precision Labs that are available here:

    https://training.ti.com/ti-precision-labs-op-amps

The ANALOG-ENGINEERING-CALC may also have some tools to help, but it tends to have more direct calculations to specific problems, not a broader model of op-amp parameters.  Your customer can also refer to TINA-TI or PSpice for TI, typically a simulation model is what we see most people using for circuit-level analysis and understanding.  Let me know if they need any help with either of these.

    Mike
