Hi Team,

Can you please confirm if OPA117 as seen in the page below available? I could not find this part in our product folder.

I am seeing the reference to the OPA117 in the document provided:

but I am not finding any other reference to the (very old/obsolete??) Burr-Brown OPA117.

There are other threads discussing photodiode interface, such as:

In that case the OPA191 is used. Ask customer for the photodiode they are using, and I'm sure PRAMPS can recommend an OpAmp.

Hi Marvin,

Burr-Brown and subsequently TI didn't ever produce an op amp having the OPA-117 part number. Possibly, the part number listed in the 2006 OSI catalog table was a typo.

Once you have the photodiode application information our PRAMPS Application team can assist you with selecting a best-fit op amp.

I think the (now obsolete) OPA111 was meant. In a similar appnote I found this:

Hi Kai,

Probably so - The OPA111 was quite the precision op amp in its day. The OPA140, OPA145 and OPA828 are all modern TI JFET op amps well suited for higher voltage photodiode applications.
