In the E2E previous post mentioned by Kai, Luis has answered the functionality of Rlim resistor.

The current gain of the Voltage to Current Converter has the current gain of 100 A/A. The function of Rlim is limiting the emitter currents of T1 and T2 to protect XTR115 and T2 transistor, see the simulation comparisons below.
