INA229: Die temperature/Internal temperature of the sensor

Hi Team，
I'm using INA229 to measure current, voltage, power, and temperature of four 12V 100Ah batteries connected in a series-parallel combination. Does the INA229 only measure 
 
1. Die temperature/Internal temperature of the sensor?  or
2. Surface temperature of the battery/sensor(Ambient Temperature) or
3. The actual temperature of the battery as it measures the Bus Voltage and Shunt voltage across the shunt resistor to calculate current and power?
