Hai,
I need to use LM318 as a voltge comparator. I need help with designing the circuit. The input parameters are +15v and +10v and I need to get the ouput as +5v.
With regards,
Hari

Hi Hari,
are you sure that you want to take the LM318 for this task? The LM318 is a dino OPAmp from 1976 and is no a rail to rail OPAmp either. Today much better suited OPAmp are available. And why not using a specialized comparator?
The input parameters are +15v and +10v and I need to get the ouput as
What do you mean by "input parameters"? Supply voltages? Or input voltages?
to get the ouput as +5v.
The output shall toggly from 0V to +5V?
What about all other parameters of this application like signal shape, input signal bandwidth, etc.?
Please give way more details.
Kai
Hai Kai,
Thanks for the reply.
Suggest some op-amp IC that gives, output voltage that toggles from -4V to +4V. The output voltage should be ac voltage. I also want to know the circuit connection and calculation of the resistance.

Hari
Hello Hari,
Can you answer all of Kai's questions?
Supply voltages?
What about all other parameters of this application like signal shape, input signal bandwidth, etc.?
