THS4509: THS4509

Part Number: THS4509

Hi

I want to know more information about THS4509 differential amplifier.

There are four type of product : THS4509QRGTRQ1, THS4509RGTT, THS4509RGTR, THS4509RGTTG4

As your answer, the difference between THS4509RGTT and THS4509RGTR is only packaging type.

Then, the difference between THS4509QRGTRQ1 and THS4509RGTTG4 is also packaging type?

Thank you.

  • Hello Beomyu,

THS4509RGTTG4 is the same as the THS4509RGTT. A statement from TI “Historically, G4 and E4 suffixes meant that the devices were rated to be “Green” or “Lead Free.” However, as time has passed, all devices have been pushed to these new “Green” or “Lead Free” standards, but the specific part orderables have remained avail- able so that customers have had a consistent orderable part number.”

The difference between THS4509RGTTG4 (or THS4509RGTT) and THS4509QRGTRQ1 is that the first one is catalog THS4509 and the second one is automotive qualified THS4509-Q1. This means the THS4509-Q1 has certifications and qualifications that can be used in automotive system. Automotive/Space/Hi-Rel rated parts will usually have their own product folders and data sheets. More information explaining the qualifications can be found at this link

    Thank you,

  • Thank you for your answer : )

I have a one more question.

THS4509RGTT/THS4509RGTR/THS4509RGTG4 has same performances and same chip layout.

Is that THS4509-Q1 has a same chip layout and similar performances??

    Thank you,

  • Hello Beomyu,

Usually our automotive graded amplifiers vs catalog are the same die, but performance can slightly vary depending on any changes in packaging. This will be noted in the automotive's datasheet. The main difference is that automotive graded devices are characterized for operation over the full automotive temperature range from –40°C to 125°C.

In the case of THS4509, this will be the same die/chip layout and package. Some DC performance is different from THS4509 datasheet vs THS4509-Q1 datasheet due to the larger temperature range for characterization.

    Thank you!
