USB2ANY: Send UART data to a PC

Part Number: USB2ANY

Hi Team,

Can you please help us with this inquiry of our customer?

Does the USB2ANY work both ways ? Meaning if we for example want to send UART data from 6 channels into a PC, could we use the USB2ANY for that ?

We have a prosthetic controller that sends 6 analog output signals through UART simultaneously and we need to read those into a computer.

Regards,

Danilo

  • Danilo,

The USB2ANY does have receive capability on UART, but I don't think it has support for six simultaneous data streams. If you truly need the simultaneous data streams you might have better luck with some UART-to-SPI chips and a buffer, or maybe a simple CPLD.
