FX-500

Hi,

Good Day.

I had an RFA 10680 come my way to look for a FFF Form Fit Functional replacement for MCKT, FREQ.TRANSLATOR,LOW JITTER, 31.25MHZ,CMOS OUTPUT,3.3V

The DMS part link below

Crystal Based Frequency Translator FX-500 | Vectron International <- I believe this was the EOL chip we used

Basically, we were using the Vectron FX-500 Frequency Translator in a currently supported circuit card of ours.

From what I can tell key parameters the frequency translator successor needs to match are:

  1. Needs to operate off a 3.3 VDC supply.
  2. Needs to be able to drive 3 downstream devices sufficiently, i.e. amplitude, slew rate, and frequency.
  3. The replacement RF chip needs to have a similar maximum skew/jitter performance for output signals.
  4. The LOCK output mechanism behaves the same way.

As far as 4 above:

  • Capable of locking to an 8 kHz pulse/ BITS clock; Lock Detect

Other important features the FFF replacement must have:

 Tri-State Output allows board test

 J-Lead Ceramic Package

Additional important characteristics of the replacement Frequency Translator we are looking for:

14mm x 9mm x 4.5 mm  6 J Lead Ceramic Package

Operating temperature -40 to +85°C

Supply Voltage of 3.3V

Operating Frequency of 31.25MHz

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent
