Hi Team,
We would like to ask your help regarding our customer's inquiry below.
We are currently working on a project that includes a current sensor, as a result, we consider using your solution (INA381A1). We developed the application circuit as shown in the attached figure, but we have a concern regarding the ALERT pin. As our application produces 0.5V in the Vout pin when we configure the CMPREF to give about 0.5V, the ALERT pin does not give a logic high(3.3V) or logic low(0V), instead, it gives an analog voltage of 1.7V. Moreover, when we increase the CMPREF voltage the ALERT pin output increases gradually, which is not acceptable.
Note; the reset pin is connected to the ground which makes the ALERT pin in transparent mode.
So, our question is there any limits regarding the comparator that cause this problem?
Regards,
Danilo
