THS4509: A new project operational amplifier IC selection consultation

Part Number: THS4509

THS4509--- A new project operational amplifier IC selection consultation:

1. Whether the current supply status of THS4509 is normal. Does TI have any plans to stop production of this chip within 3-5 years;
2. Which industry products THS4509 is mainly used in, and whether these demands will exist for a long time
3. According to our company's procurement feedback, when this chip was purchased on TI's official website, the production year was more than 2 years, and our company's inspection requirements for incoming materials should not exceed 2 years. How to avoid such problems;
4. Does TI have a pin to pin chip model recommendation that can replace THS4509?

Hope to get your reply as soon as possible, thank you for your support!

  • Hi Benson,

    Thank you for your question. I have provided details to your questions below. If you need additional information, please let me know.

    1. The THS4509 was released in 2005 and is a fully supported device.
    2.  This device is popular among automotive applications and is therefore available in a Q-100 automotive qualified version, THS4509-Q1.
    3.  Unfortunately there is not a system in place to be able to specifically deliver devices that have been manufactured within the last two years. However our devices are tested and packaged to ensure that they are stable on the shelf, and will meet the performance outlined in the datasheet upon delivery.
    4. An alternative device could be the THS4513. This device is the unity-gain stable variant of the THS4509 and is available in the same 16-pin VQFN package.

    Thank you,
    Rachel
