Hi experts,
My customer use INA226, and sense pin route is a little long, what should we pay more attention for INA226 if sense route is long?

Hello,
Mainly noise coupling into the traces and trace resistance think of a resistor in series as the trace gets longer more resistance. The noise problem can be alleviated with differential/ differential type routing from Rsense to INA. The second problem is unavoidable and may not even be a problem depending on your application.
You could also add an input filter close to the INA, this will cause more error as you have an addition resistor in series but will further reduce the noise. Placing this on your board and not populating it could be a good idea just in case.
To really understand how much this will change your performance we will need more information on the application like Rsense, min/max current, trace length etc.

Cas
Hi Cas,
