INA181-Q1: How to generate reference voltage

Part Number: INA181-Q1

①I would like to know the resistance value and error of R1~R4.
② I am thinking of applying 2.5V to the "Reference Voltage" by resistor voltage divider from the 5V power supply system.
We are planning to adjust the resistance value because it will be applied to the bus side via R3 and R4.
We would appreciate it if you could give us your company's recommended method from the viewpoint of assurance of accuracy, deterioration of immunity, etc.

  • Hi,

This information is available in the datasheet, specifically in section 9.1.2 and table 1. R2=R4=500kOhm

The recommended method is to buffer the voltage divider that you’re planning to use. If you prefer to forgo the buffer, the divider will cause output errors and reduction if output dynamic range if the resistors are large. You may refer to the example in section 6.1 in this app note to get a rough idea of output error due to resistor divider. Similar calculation can be applied if a different gain version, and/or different divider are used.
