ISO224: ISO224 simulation

Part Number: ISO224

I am not getting proper ouput sinusoidal swing also the ouput is not shifted by 2.4V as mentioned in the datasheet.

Vin=3V,sinusoidal

  • Hi Apoorva,

    The output of the ISO224 will be +/-4V differential with a full-scale input voltage, or +/-1/3*Vin.

    As the INA is connected, with a single-supply and GND setting the common-mode at the inputs, the INA cannot drive below ground.

    Please see this document for an example of a correct circuit: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa317/sbaa317.pdf

  • Hello Alexander,

    I want to verify for the individual performance of IC ISO224, so if I took out the INA224, now if I check with Individual pins with respect to the ground I am getting the proper output as per the datasheet, but with respect to the differential pins, I am not getting the proper values. can you please tell me how to simulate it in the proper way.

    Regards,

    Apoorva

  • Hi Apoorva,

    The outputs are driven and they are shorted to ground in the design. The device would be damaged if operated in this way. Add a resistor between the output and ground in order to limit the current.
