AMC1200: High Bandwidth, Isolated amplifiers

Part Number: AMC1200

Hi,

I have an application requiring the design of an analogue front end for high bandwidth voltage measurement.

- 1MHz bandwidth up to 1kV amplitude.

The voltage measurement needs to be isolated, and ultimately will be fed into an ADC connected to an FPGA for analysis.

I'm considering whether to place the isolation gap in the analogue or digital domain, and found the AMC1200 and similar products from TI. Unfortunately, the amc1200 only goes up to 60kHz.

Do you have any high / 1MHz bandwidth, isolated amplifiers that would support this application?

Thanks, Josh

  • Hi Josh,

We do not currently have any isolated amplifiers in the portfolio capable of 1MHz bandwidth.

We do offer modulators that are capable of higher bandwidth measurements. The bitstream can be fed to one SDFM with low OSR, high bandwidth for protection while a second SDFM can be used with high OSR, lower bandwidth for the control loop. This is explained in further detail in this application note: https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/sbaa359a/sbaa359a.pdf?ts=1689604384001

I would like to better understand the need for such high bandwidth so that we can appropriately design future products to meet your needs. Can you share any information about the application you are working on?

What is the timeline for the project?
