INA230: difference against INA226, and if register map is the same

Customer finds INA230 as a drop-in replacement against INA226 but cheaper, thus wants to know what are the differences? And if register map is the same between INA230 & INA226? Thanks.

Hello,

You can see a comparison of the two devices here.

In general, the INA226 is a more accurate/precise device than the INA230. It has a lower offset and a lower gain error.

Thanks for the sharing. And assume customer does NOT need to change register map if customer decides to move the socket from INA226 to INA230, right?

Correct, if they make this change then they do not need to change their register map.
