Hi,

How to calculate the R and C values which are connected to pin 1 (Output) and Pin 2 (Inverting Input) and same as the Pin 7 (output) and Pin 6 (inverting Input. We have designed the CC CV charger 14.6V 30A using UCC256403. But we are facing a problem in CC mode. We used the TL103W as a CC/CV controller. CV is working fine but CC is working only the battery is connected after Power ON the charger. If we connected the battery before power ON the charger means, we are getting problem in CC mode. At that time Current comes to 5 to 6A instead of 30A. So please let me know how to calculate the R and C values. Is that R and C are the time constants of the correction?

Hello Nishanth,

In CC mode the whole loop (TL103W, UCC256403 and all the other components in the loop) must be stable as a whole. What values are used in the TL103W section? What are the waveforms in the lower current CC mode. It may have oscillation (unstable loop).

Nishanth,

I see nothing obvious although I don't fully understanding why D18 and D20 are used. The waveforms for CS_OUT and U4 pin 7 would be helpful Feel free to add more waveforms that may relate.
