TLV1701: When the output will reverse

Part Number: TLV1701

Could you pls help to calculate how much higher the VIN- voltage is than the VIN+ voltage, the output voltage jumps? Thanks

  • Hello Fabio,

    I'm assuming the "VDD33" is 3.3V.

The output should "jump" as soon as the two input voltages cross, typically within a millivolt or two.

The R10/R11 dividers set up a reference voltage of 1.10V at the positive input.

The voltage at pin 3 needs to go below 1.100 for the output to go high, and above 1.100 to go output low.

The TLV1701 has a maximum internal offset voltage of ±5.5mV.

Ideally, the threshold is 1.1V, but you should take into account the worst case input offset voltage.

To make the input go high, Pin 3 (neg input) needs to be less than 1.1V - 5.5mV = 1.0945V

To make the input go low, Pin 3 (neg input) needs to be less than 1.1V + 5.5mV = 1.1055V.

The VBUS_OUT divider ratio is 21.04 - so the VBUS_OUT thresholds will be 21.04 times the above threshold voltages.
