Problems with a XTR108 circuit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XTR108

Hello,

I'm still working in a project that uses the XTR108 as a temperature transmitter. We design the circuit to work with it, but isn't work. When I turn on the voltage source, there are no voltage signal through the resistors Rz1...Rz5. I don't know why it is happening. When that happens, we can't measure any voltage signal through the Pt100 too, so we can't measure the temperature variation. If I remove the resistors (Rz1 to Rz5), I can measure voltage in those terminals.

I've checked all the circuit diagram, and it is equal to a version that alreary worked as expected. The system that program the SPI EEPROM is working correctly, so I would like to know if someone already seen something similar to help me. What can be happening?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Juliana,

Please share your schematic and system design requirements (temperature span, current-mode or voltage-mode output, and desired output span), so that I can better help you troubleshoot your circuit issue.

What do you mean by "when I turn on the voltage source?" Are you referring to the loop supply voltage or the current sources that excite the input RTD and Rz? Which two nodes are you using to measure the input voltages?

Have you tried replacing the XTR108 with a new XTR108, or testing the XTR108 from this "bad" system on a known "good" system?
