Team,
Customer would like to know the Power Dissipation (Pd) of our INA233AIDGSR. How many Watt? Could you help to advise? Thanks.

Hi Yu-Chen,
That depends on which power dissipation you are wondering about. The power dissipation of the IC itself would be calculated using P=VI. The supply would be whichever power supply you choose to use (datasheet specifies Vs = 2.7 - 5.5V and typical Iq = 310 uA). The amount of power dissipated on the exterior system including the INA233 would depend on the shunt resistor you intend on using. If the shunt resistor is larger, it forces a larger voltage drop and would dissipate more power. There is also the power dissipation off the VBUS line. You can calculate the power dissipated off VBUS using V=IR based on the input impedance (datasheet specifies imput impedance to be: 830 kΩ).
If you have any further questions feel free to let me know!
Best,
Mohamed
