AMC1411-Q1: AMC1411-Q1 - Supports Bi-directional feature

Part Number: AMC1411-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1400-Q1

Dear TI Team,

Just want to confirm, the PN #AMC1411-Q1 can be capable of measuring the voltage when current is flowing in bi-directional. Please confirm.

If yes, what is the minimum voltage difference can be capable of sensing the IN(P/N) Pins?

Thanks,

Gopi

  • Hi Gopi,

AMC1411-Q1 is intended for DC voltage measurements with a -0.1 to 2V specified input voltage range. This device is not intended for measuring bi-directional signals.

We have the AMC1400-Q1 for bi-directional current measurements.

Both of these products feature 14mm creepage/clearance, intended for the highest voltage applications where the increased isolation performance is necessary.

What type of application are you working on and is this 14mm creepage/clearance necessary?

We also have many products with 8mm creepage/clearance that may be more suitable for your needs.
