TL032: Extended capacitive load drive

Hi Dear,

As shown in the following figure, OPA2990 can expand capacitive load driving. If the terminal is a butterfly valve or a PLC or other different equipment, how can users match the R & C value? Does TL032 also support expanding capacity loads?

Additionally, what is the output current of OPA2990?The manual does not include the Output current, IO parameter

Hey Anna,

The datasheet of the butterfly valve or PLC would need to include the equivalent series/parallel resistance or capacitance, and from there you can make an equivalent circuit in a SPICE simulator like TINA-TI or PSpice for TI.

This method for extending capacitive load drive of the amplifier is not unique to OPA2990, it can be done with many amplifiers.
