INA231: INA231 VS and VBUS(VIN+/-)

Part Number: INA231

Hi team

Is there a difference in the measurement voltage range and measurement accuracy under the conditions (1) and (2) below for INA231?

(1) VS=3.3V, VBUS(VIN+/-)=5.0V (VS and VBUS are the differential power source)

(2) VS=5.0V, VBUS(VIN+/-)=5.0V (VS and VBUS are the same power source)

Best regards

  • Hi Hidaka,

Since the LSB size is fixed for both Shunt Voltage (LSB = 2.5uV) and Bus Voltage (LSB = 1.25mV), there is no difference in the voltage range that can be measured for different supplies.

There shouldn't be a significant difference in accuracy for different VS voltages as long as VS remains within the recommended operating conditions.

    Best Regards,

    Angel
