INA211: Input Offset Current Max Min Specification

Part Number: INA211
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA190

Hello,

We are sensing a very small DC current with the INA211, and need very low input offset current across a wide temperature range.

Could you please help us with minimum and maximum values for the input voltage offset current?

Typical is +-0.02uA.  Is it possible to extrapolate min / max knowing this is a 1 sigma parameter.

Thanks very much, Keith

  • Hi Keith,

We provide a Max and Min Specification for the Input Bias Current, and Max for Input Offset Voltage, but we do not test for a Max/Min Input Offset Current value.

You can expect offset current value to be around the typical value provided, but we can't guarantee the Max is within 1 sigma parameter.

Input Offset Voltage is the dominant source of error when measuring small DC currents, so this is the spec that is most important for consideration in the design.

Depending on the current range that will be measured, it might be worth taking a look at INA190. This part offers one of the lowest input bias currents available, with IB in the order of picoamps.

    Best Regards,

    Angel
