Hi TI teams,
I received notification that OPA656U/2K5 will be discontinued, TI's recommended replacement part is OPA656UB/2K5.
What does “B” in this Parts number mean?
I checked the Datasheet, but I couldn't tell the difference.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Akira Ono
Section 7.6 specifies high-grade values. Section 9.1.3.5 mentions that B devices are the high-grade version.
Thanks for feedback.
I checked the points you pointed out and understood that B devices are High-Grade-Version.
Am I correct in my understanding that OPA656U/2K5 and OPA656UB/2K5 use the same die? Is OPA656U/2K5 the part that was removed from the test due to stricter test conditions?
Best Regards,
Yes, it's the same die. Apparently, having two different test is more expensive than just doing the stricter test.
Hi,
OPA814 is a good replacement as Michael has pointed out. Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions about that device.
Thanks,
Nick
