Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA817
The datasheet for the OPA814 op-amp indicates that the "linear output drive" [current] is typically 70mA into a 100-ohm load (for VOUT =+/-1V) and the "short-circuit" current is 90mA. However, in the Absolute Maximum Ratings table, it indicates that the "continuous output current" is only +/-30mA indefinitely, which seems rather contradictory. I would have expected that the device can source 90mA into a short-circuit indefinitely, but the +/-30mA figures would seem to contradict this.
Can someone please clarify for how long the device can:
* Source 90mA into a short-circuit.
* 70mA into a 100-ohm load when VOUT = +/-1V
The datasheet for the OPA817 is similarly confusing.
