OPA548: Recommended Design for High Current AO Output

Hi Dear,

The customer wants to create an AO module with an output current of around 200mA to drive the servo valve, with an accuracy of 1%.

Currently, the customer is considering using DAC with operational amplifier conditioning to achieve high current output. Are there any mature circuit recommendations? How to choose DAC and operational amplifier?

Is there any other circuit that can be implemented besides this method?thanks

  • Important parameters are the required output voltages, accuracy, and signal frequencies, and the available power supplies. Do you need to output a specific voltage or current?

    Please specify the design requirements as pointed it out by Clemens. 

    Is there any other circuit that can be implemented besides this method

    We have many reference designs that may meet the V-to-I converter design categories. Without the complete design requirements, it is difficult to say which one is more suitable or the best fit for the application. 

    In terms of power amplifier, the OPA593 may be a good option for the power amplifier application.
