TLV3402: EOL late time buy date short than normal

Hi Team,

My customer was using TLV3402CDR and has received EOL notice 2-3weeks ago, where the LTB was announced to be around December this year.

The customer is confused why the LTB period is only around 3 months, which is significantly shorter than normal (around half a year).

I know TLV3402IDR can be the pin compatible replacement for the EOL parts number, but is there any specific reason for this OPN to have such short LTB period?

    Hello David,

    TI’s customary LTB is 12 months with a 6 month LSD (Last ship date).

    From the above page:

    " In rare circumstances, an accelerated withdrawal schedule may be necessary. In such cases, we will communicate to affected customers the last time buy and final delivery dates."

    In this case, and several others, older devices that have "C" versions, small quantity reels or tubes, or non-green finishes, AND also have direct non-EOL replacements available that can directly replace them are getting accelerated EOL times.

    The TLV3402CDR EOL was issued on July 7, 2023 and the LSD is Dec 6, 2023.

    Since the TLV3402IDR is a direct replacement and is not going EOL, the "C" got the accelerated EOL time.
