INA260EVM: Received incorrect EVM

Part Number: INA260EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA226EVM, , TI-SCB, INA260

Hi experts,

I recently ordered the INA260EVM, but it appears I’ve received the INA226EVM by mistake.

Based on the pictures on ti.com, I expected to receive this:

But actually received this:

Please let me know what I should do to get the correct INA260EVM.

Thanks,

Louis

  • Hello Louis,

Sorry for the confusion. The EVM you received is actually a new and improved version of the INA260EVM. The “INA226EVM” sticker was placed there by mistake, and the text “INA260EVM Rev B” is actually written on the PCB underneath the sticker.

We are working on updating the webpage to align with the new hardware. In the meantime, here is the important info that you need in order to use the EVM:

EVM Control Board: This EVM uses the TI-SCB (https://www.ti.com/tool/TI-SCB), which is sold separately to reduce costs for customers who already have the TI-SCB, or who want to evaluate the INA260 with their own MCU/firmware.

    EVM GUI (requires TI-SCB): https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/CurrentSensing/INA260EVM_GUI

User’s Guide: We’re working on getting the updated INA260EVM User’s Guide available online. In the meantime, you can refer to the INA226EVM User’s Guide (https://www.ti.com/lit/sbou276). This user’s guide will have all the information you need to run the INA260EVM, but will also have extra shunt resistor specific information that you can ignore (such as how to connect a shunt resistor and how to use the shunt configuration tab in the GUI).

    Regards,

    Mitch
