TLV7021: POR time difference of TLV7021 under different temperature

Part Number: TLV7021

Hello

I would like to confirm with you that there is POR time difference of TLV7021 between different temperature.

CH5 is the output of TLV7021. There is a pulse as it is POR of the comparator. The 1st figure shows the POR time is roughly 50us in -35C.

But the second figure shows the POR time is really very short under 125C. Is it normal for TLV7021 application?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

I took a look at our data and can confirm that the trend follows what you are showing. At cold temperatures, the power on time was slower and at hot temperatures, the power on time was faster. The 20 us of power on time that is stated in the datasheet is at 25C room temp only.

Hope this helps answer your question and thanks for your use of the forum!

  • Hello Chi

Thanks for the explanation. Do you have the data that the POR time under different temperature?

    Thanks!

  • Hi ,

Thanks for your question. I do have some data but it is just the average across several units and has some variations between part to part so I am not sure it would be helpful for you. At -40, I see it can go in the 30-40us range and adding on process variation, it may very well be that part could go 50us of power on time. But the trend in the data matches what you see nonetheless.
