LMH6321: Current Buffer Amplifier Design

Part Number: LMH6321

Hi Team,

I tested the LMH6321MR/NOPB by using +/- 12VDC Power Supply for powering the IC and EF(error flag) pin and Current Limit pins are left open while testing.

without any input is given to the Buffer IC, the buffer IC getting heating issue.

Please kindly do the needful ASAP.

Regards,

  • Hi Vignesh,

Could you send a schematic or circuit design file with how the device is being implemented and what is connected to the device? This will be helpful in zeroing in on the issue. If you directly ground the device, are you able to probe the output of the device to see what is being measured. Also, when you have a grounded input, is the current being supplied equal to the Iq of the device or is it a higher value? If it is higher than Iq, when you probe the output are you seeing an oscillation or something that is not expected. Are you able to also try a different unit and see if you are seeing this across units?

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio

  • I Used +12VDC and -12VDC  as power supply but I am getting heating Issues in IC while I am Testing in Ambient Temperature.

  • Hi Vignesh,

Thank you for sharing the image, after looking over the schematic there is nothing that stands out from the circuit configuration. Could you try the suggestions mentioned in the previous response regarding measuring the output of device with a 0V input signal for possible oscillations? As well as seeing the iq of the device during this measurement.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio
