TRF1208: Turn ON/OFF time

Hello,

We are in the evaluation process on the TRF1208 turn on/off time. In the device data sheet, it states about 200 nano-second Turn-On time; and 50 nano-second Turn-Off time; Can TI engineer confirm this?

If we are looking for ON/OFF time in 10th to 100th nano-second, this device will not fit. Can TI engineer confirm this?

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for contacting TI. Yes, the 200ns/50ns turn-on/turn-off time is correct. It is the time from 50% voltage on PD to 90% (turn-on) and 10% (turn-off) of RF.

Do you mean turn on and turn off time of the order of 10 to 100ps? What is the application under consideration?

Thanks for the feedback, Srinivas! The application needs to have high phase stability during the Turn ON/OFF time happen. Can you provide the stability of the phase specification during the 50 nano-second to 200 nano-second Turn On/OFF time?
