OPA2172: OPA2172 vs OPA1688 headphone amp performance

Hi,

i read the OPA1688 is very close to the OPA2172.

in an output buffer application for an headphone amp, can I expect the same results with the 2172 compare to the 1688 when driving low impedance like 32 ohms?

Hello Gabriel,

2172 could be similar as both have similar specs where the spec themselves are same. OPA1688 is different is that it has electrical specifications that include impedance lower than 2000 ohms. That makes 1688 less risk because it was intentionally designed to do such things.
