High speed amplifier Design

Hi,

I am looking for an high speed amplifier design reference or IC to amplify 1V to VRMS≈106.07VRMS with frequency range 10KHz to 2MHz.
I just some reference design or hint to figure out where to start.
Any suggestions or guidance would be helpful

Hi Ali,

Unfortunately TI does not offer any high speed amplifier device that is capable of amplifying an input voltage to 106Vrms output. For this reason, we do not have any reference designs for that application.

The biggest constraints with amplifying a voltage that large is:

1. Needing a device with a bandwidth of 300-500MHz minimum

2. Needing a device with a very large slew rate

3. Finding a device that can handle any current constraints of the load and supplies

I am not sure TI offers transistors that are capable of supporting that output voltage. I can direct you to the transistors team to provide more insight on that if you would like to consider building an amplifier discretely using transistors. However, based on your question, it does not seem like that is what you are looking to use for your application.

Ali,

TI Nch MOSFETs go to 100V, as such the 106Vrms would far exceed the maximum rating of any FET we have and so I am sorry but there is nothing we can offer

Can you send me 100V transistor part number. I think It might be ok if I can amplify even at 100V.

Ali,

Sorry no, our devices are targeted towards traditional power FET applications like motors or synchronous buck converters, so we have no reference designs that I am aware of that fit your application.
