Part Number: TLV6700-Q1

Hello,

Could you please help me now what is the maximum rating of INA+/INB- current rating of TLV6700.

  • This device has high-impedance inputs, so no high current will flow during normal operation. (The leakage current is specified in section 7.5.)

The I/O pins have clamping diodes from GND, but their current limit is not specified. Therefore, you should never exceed the −0.3 V limit, or you should limit the clamping current to a really small value like 100 µA. (There are no clamping diodes to the positive power rail, so you must never exceed the 7 V limit.)

  • Hello Pradnya,

    Thanks, Clemens... :^)

As Clemens said, the CMOS inputs are high-impedance up to 6.5V, independent of the supply voltage. See section 8.3.1 of the datasheet.

When the inputs are above ground, up to +7V, the input current should be less than 25nA ( I(INA+) and I(INB-) Input current lines in section 7.5). Going above 7V can cause damage.

We always recommend some series resistance added to the inputs to limit any transient currents, especially when directly monitoring a supply. The external resistor voltage divider normally provides this current limiting.
