OPA1S2384EVM: OPA1S2384 EVM

Part Number: OPA1S2384EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1S2384

Hi Jonard,

I am going to test TIA circuit using OPA1S2384.

Negative input(-IN A) is used for PD input adding R6 (0R), input(+In A) is ground.

Input signal from signal generator is 50mVpp.

1st stage OutA is working with inverted output.

But Even I try to invert signal, when I checked 2nd stage Out B, is working with buffer mode.

In order to invert 2nd OpAmp, below configuration is used.

- SC is open (Low).

- TP1 and TP7 is tied.

- But when I check connectivity between Pin2(IN S) and Pin6(+IN B), it looks tied with 6Ohm.   That is why Out B is not inverted.

Please review my configuration, I am looking forward seeing your reply ASAP.

Thanks

  • Hi David,

It definitely sounds like the switch is still on, as the typical on-resistance is 4ohms. Could you share the supply voltage configuration of the EVM as well as the voltage the SC pin is set to? I also wanted to confirm, for the inverting configuration were you able to also change R2 to configure the second stage as an inverting amplifier? I assume the TIA stage is configured with the appropriate feedback network since you mentioned it works as expected.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio
