OPA991: Are those Amplifiers suited for single supply use

Part Number: OPA991
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV9301

Hello ,

i'm not sure if I can use OPA991 and TLV9301 with single supply configuration. Because in some Datasheets it is said explicit, that those Amplifiers can be used with single Supply.

Maybe someone can tell me wich parameter shows that this OPamp. is suitable for single supply use.

best regards

Alisa

  • These devices to not have a GND pin; what matters is only the voltage between the two supply pins.

Typically, opamps that can work at low supply voltages and that have rail-to-rail I/Os are called single-supply opamps. The OPA991 has these characteristics. The TLV9301 requires a supply of at least 5 V, and its inputs do not handle voltage less than 2 V near the positive supply, but if your circuit matches these restrictions, you can use a single supply.
