OPA172: Not a rail to rail part after all.

Part Number: OPA172

Even though the part is advertised a s a rail to rail output op amp, it is not. The output does not get to the positive rail.

TI, you wasted my time.

    What is the output swing requirement for your application? For all of our op amps, there will be a voltage swing to the rail specification that shows we have some headroom from the positive and negative supply rails. This also changes depending on your output current load. We can help to find an alternative op amp if the OPA172 doesn't meet your requirements.

    Could you please confirm the input signal? It is likely that the nonlinear behavior is presenting at the output but might be caused by the input. See the following training: Link
