INA290-Q1: About Low Side Measurement

Hi,

We would like to use low side current measurement with INA290. I see many high side current measurement applications on datasheet but is there any problem about low side measurement with INA290 ?

The minimum common-mode voltage is 2.7 V, so you will not be able to measure a shunt resistor near GND.

Hello Alikaan,

Clemens is correct. If you would like something similar in speed which is the reason you picked INA290? Then you would look at the INA293 or the INA296 as they both can handle VCM (common mode voltages) below 0V.

Could you please suggest me right part for low side current sense application with fixed gains. If possible SC70 package.

Alikaan,

With no other constraints. I would say use the INA190. There is a list of low side capable device in SC70 below.
