OPA2131: Temperature range

Part Number: OPA2131

What is the operating temperature range of the OPA2141UJ.

The data sheet give Abs max range as -55C to +125C but Specified range is -40C to +85C.

Packaging info calls it -55C to +125C.

Can you please clarify?

    OPA2131 will work properly (like an op amp) within the Operating Temperature Range (-55C to 125C) but will meet the datasheet max/min limits only within the Specified Temperature Range (-40C to 85C).

    Hi Jim, 

    The inquiry title is OPA2131, but the inquiry content mentioned about OPA2141UJ. I am going to answer both. 

    For OPA2131, the IC's operating temperature is rated from -55C to 125C, but only to the following specific op amp packages. In the TI E-store, these are the only ones that are in stock, see the image below. 

    Please keep in mind that these are using the identical Si die design, die and process. The only differences are the package and number of op amp inside of package. 

    The following table is shown the performance characterized min/max data in the datasheet, which is between -40C to 85C. The part will operate outside the temperature ranges, but the min/max performance figures may not be guaranteed within the figures in the datasheet.   

    For OPA2141UJ, the part number does not exist. So I think that you may be referring to OPA2131UJ part.
