Goodday, 

I am designing a circuit for monitoring DC Bus voltages with the AMC3301 amplifier, and currently running some simulations. 

I used the excel tool to calculate the required resistor values, however, I would like to confirm something. At the moment, whenever, I conduct a DC nodal analysis at my max expected voltage, it shows wrong differential values at V>628V, however, when I conduct a DC transfer sweep from 0 - 650V, it then shows the right value. Is it possible to please have a look in case I have made an error, or it is just the model of the AMC3301 and need not worry? Is there also anything I need to change/add to the schematic at the moment?

    Hi Sherry,

    As the model requires reference to a single ground and the concept of the isolation barrier is somewhat difficult for TINA to understand, I would expect that to explain the issue with the nodal analysis. 

    The AMC3301 device itself will have no issues with 650V working voltage. 

    Have you considered using the AMC3330 instead of the AMC3301? It has a higher input impedance and input voltage range which is helpful for voltage sensing.

    Yes, I did consider the AMC3301, but it's unfortunately out of stock/low in stock for most suppliers. I shall still consider this though as you have suggested!
