LM139: LM139J/883

Part Number: LM139

My drawing calls out for pn LM139J/883. What is the current suitable replacement?

  • The LM139J/883 is still active.

Please note that the LM139 is an automotive device made by TI; the military-rated variant of National Semiconductor's LM139-N is the LM139AQML.

  • Hi John,

As Clemens said, the LM139J/883 is the ex-National Military 883 device, under the LM139AQML GPN.

The LM139JB is the native TI Military 883 equivalent device.

Both meet the basic SMD specifications, but will always have differences in the operational extremes.

At this time, there are no plans to obsolete/PCN the ex-National devices. Though there may be changes in the shipping options (rail or tray quantity options).

The LM139JB will have a die change under PCN in the next year, but will still continue to be available.

You should be safe ordering the LM139J/883 or LM139JB into the future.
