PGA855: Simulation unable to converge

Part Number: PGA855

With my intended design, simulation with PGA855 model is unable to converge:

OUT_DIFF seems to have reached some extremely high value:

Here is my schematic: Sine wave is 1V amplitude, at 100kHz

And I have also attached the file here:

  • Hi Hao,

I was able to replicate this issue. In my simulation, the output voltage does not exceed 11.8V, and therefore setting the Vocm pin to 13V causes convergence issues. I rebuilt the circuit with a 2.5V common-mode input and a +/- 400mV output swing. Setting the Vocm to 10V allows the simulation to converge, see below.

In a typical application, the LVDD power supply is often 5V or 3.3V as it is designed to share the ADC power supply. It may be that operation at high output voltages was not considered in the spice model for this reason. I am reaching out to the modeling team for their input, however the responses may be delayed due to the holidays. I will provide an update once I hear back.
