OPA197-Q1: OPA197-Q1

Part Number: OPA197-Q1

Dear Sirs

May I connect Pin_1 and Pin_2 on the OPA197-Q1? Does exist any limitation on the voltage that can be applied on Pin_1?

Thanks a lot again and best regards

Salvatore

  • Pin 1 of OPA197-Q1 has no internal connection so you may connect it to pin 2 (-IN).  However, since all I/O pins are protected by ESD diode to each of the rails, the voltage on input pins is limited to 0.5V beyond the rails - see Absolute Maximum Rating table below.  Having said that, you may take the pin beyond its maximum voltage if you limit the current (e.g. with resistor)  to 10mA  or less
