Hi Mateusz,
There was a PCN that was sent out for the TL082IDR (PCN20220615003) that outlines a design/die change. Please refer to this PCN for the change information.
The lower current value is as expected for the DC2347 part. What is the threshold for the current value in your system?
Regards,
Ashley
Hi Ashley,
Using this new revision resulted in a 21mA drop in current consumption for the entire product. Since the element on this product is used 10 times which makes it not within the test specification accepted by the customer
Typical specifications are not guaranteed.
The design has changed (as you can see, the die is much smaller), so the only solution is for the customer to adjust the test specification.
Hi Ashley, can I find these PCN's online as well? I wasn't able to to finde it with the search function.
Hi Thorsten,
The best way to receive a copy of the PCN is to contact your TI representative - they can give you the most up-to-date information on a certain PCN information.
Our authorized distributor sites may have a copy of our PCNs, but please keep in mind these are static copies.
I have linked here the Digikey copy for your convenience: https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/4885/PCN20220615003.1.pdf
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Ashley
Hi Ashley, thanks for the link!
It would be better to have this PCNs as well available via the product documentation.
Unfortunately the next question now. We're using also TL084ID in our applications, these are not mentioned in this PCN. Did TI change the process as well for TL084ID? Do you have a PCN for me?
Thanks
Thorsten
Hi Thorsten,
Thank you for the feedback. Could you confirm the orderable is TL084ID and not TL084IDR? There are different changes that impact these devices. TL084ID is currently on "Last Time Buy" per our website.
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Ashley
