THS3001: It is generally described below.

Part Number: THS3001

Now the 30Mhz signal will have a gain that should not have been after this op amp, for example: the input signal is 30mhz amplitude 1Vpp, and the output of the simulation THS3001 is 1Vpp, but now the physical circuit output is 4Vpp, please help analyze and see what the reason is? Thank you!

  • Hi Jianping,

Can you share a few details about how you are measuring the output voltage of the THS3001:

    1. Are you measuring the output of both THS3001 devices and are they both showing 4Vpp on the output?
    2. Are you measuring the output voltage at R167 and R168?
    3. Are you isolating the THS3001 when you measure the output voltage (i.e. disconnecting it from the signal chain)?

I agree that according the schematic you have provided, the output of the THS3001 should be 1Vpp.

    Thanks,

    Nick

  • Are you measuring the output of both THS3001 devices and are they both showing 4Vpp on the output?
    A: yes, both showing 4Vpp
Are you measuring the output voltage at R167 and R168?
    A:yes
Are you isolating the THS3001 when you measure the output voltage (i.e. disconnecting it from the signal chain)?
A: yes, remove R167/R170 and measure the output at R167/R168 , the output amplitude both are 4Vpp.

In this application , there is a unexpected gain after the singal go throuth THs3001 .

  • Hi,

Can you share how you are measuring the output voltage (i.e. what equipment you are using) and can you check all equipment settings to confirm they are set properly?

Also can you share your layout files to confirm that the signal is not getting coupled to other signals or any other odd behaviors?

    Thanks,

    Nick
