VCA820: VCA820 AGC clipping for 30MHz signal

Part Number: VCA820
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA695, OPA820,

Hello Kai,

I working for AGC network which works for 30ns to 200ns for that purpose I have implemented VCA820 circuit with OPA695 and OPA820 for feedback integrator, but I couldn't simulate such high freq. signals like 50MHz either the tool gets stuck or throws error.

I also tried cascaded VCA820 as suggested by you in this thread but with this circuit simulating a 200KHz signal itself is a big challenge (transient analysis is taking very long time).

My main concern is that AGC should start the clipping of the output signal from 30ns upto 200ns, could you please suggest me the circuit changes required to have this fast low time AGC functionality?

I have attached both circuits and trans sim. for reference.

AGC with Controlled voltage input.TSCvca820_cascaded.TSC

Thank you,

Harshini
