Can you confirm that the PGA309 does not have any on-board firmware and that all of the logic it uses for thermal compensation is in hardware?

The PGA309 uses an internal fixed digital design not a programable microcontroller. The thermal compensation will read an external EEPROM, but internally, there is not programable firmware or non-volatile memory.
