THS7313: THS7313

Part Number: THS7313
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320DM368, THS7353, THS7303

THS7313 - this is a triple Video buffer with a built in filter.

I am planning to use this part for a YC video signal cable driver. The data sheet shows 470uF cap's on Y output signal,  the cap is: CAP ALUM 470UF 20% 10V SMD. Can I replace this with a tantalum or ceramic (prefered) cap? Also this part is called out in the EVAL board: TMS320DM368 Evaluation Module User Guide, Literature Number: SPRUI80, the PDF schematics page for this part (see Page 92) is cut-off.  See alos pages 95 and 06 - they are also cut off.

Where can I get the BOM for the Eval board, maybe also the design files?

Thanks

  • Hello Buck,

I would say that as long as you can find a tantalum or ceramic capacitor which meets or exceeds the ratings and specifications of the 470uF electrolytic capacitor, you are able to switch the capacitor type.

The overall evaluation module design & user guide are owned and maintained by the Embedded Processor DSP team, who I am adding into the thread assignment.  The EP team should have access to repositories and databases containing original files or PCB layout/Gerbers.

Since I only have access to supporting TI's High Speed Amplifier (HSAMPS) products, I cannot as easily access files owned by the EP team.

If you have additional questions about the THS7313, THS7303, or THS7353 (the last two are present in the DM368 design), please reconnect with me for amplifier support.

    Best,

    Alec

    Hi,

Sorry, other than the EVM user's guide where the schematic can be found in the document, I can't find the schematic source. Please also note that this is an old design that no longer has direct support on e2e. If you still have questions for THS7313, THS7303, or THS7353, I will transfer you to our High Speed Amplifier forum support team.
